Closing the gap between ability and access
Ability is evenly distributed. Access is not. Too many people in our city have the ambition to work and no affordable, practical route into the training that would make it happen.
How we tackle it
Three things, done properly
Practical training
Hands-on workshops in a real trade, taught by people who work in it. You finish with a skill you can use, not a certificate you cannot.
Confidence building
Low confidence stops people as often as cost does. Every workshop builds belief alongside ability, from the first hour to the last.
Employer partnerships
Over time we work with local employers and referral organisations so that a finished workshop leads somewhere — a job, a client list, or your own business.
